To work legally in Thailand as an English teacher, there is a requirement to possess a Bachelor degree in any subject and some kind of TEFL certification or equivalent. This will enable you to obtain a non immigrant business visa and a work permit to allow you to teach.

Of course, there are some institutions that do not require these qualifications; however, be warned that if you do not fulfill the requirements, then you leave yourself open to abuse.
