The simple answer is yes.

I am not a lawyer; however, I believe that if you make contact and try to pay a small amount every month, then there is less chance of any legal action being taken against you. There are millions of baht outstanding in loans and a loan by definition has to be paid back.

How do I improve my English? PDF Print E-mail
Saturday, 24 May 2008 07:55

This has got to be one of the most frequently asked questions that I have had since I became a teacher. Unfortunately there are no magic answers to this question, just some useful suggestions, except practice, practice, practice.

I have found that the more English is used by a student, the better they become. Try using English as often as you can in your daily life. I appreciate that some students may find it very difficult to do this; however, there are ways that it can be done.

Try listening to the news in English. Maybe you would prefer listening in Thai first to get the general idea first and then listen again in English. This can also be done for reading by reading a Thai newspaper article first and then reading the same article in an English newspaper.

Talking to foreigners, whilst seeming scary at the time, is also a good way to practice your English. Some students set up their own English conversation groups and practice amongst themselves.

These are just a few ideas that students might like to try in order to improve their English language skills.
